Instructions
Copy and paste the ThemeSwitch component code into your Framer project file.
Customize the appearance using the property controls in the right-hand panel.
Publish your Framer project and view it in a web browser for full functionality.
The switch will automatically detect the system theme on initial load.
Tggle between light and dark themes & navigate between pages to see it in effect
How it Works
The component uses the browser's localStorage API to save the user's theme preference.
When the user toggles the switch, the new theme state ("light" or "dark") is saved to localStorage using the key "currentToggleState".
On component initialization, it checks localStorage for a saved theme:
If a theme is found, it's applied immediately.
If no theme is found, the component defaults to the system theme.
This storage mechanism only works when the project is published and viewed in a web browser, as localStorage is a web API.
